Griddle grilled salmon

  • 4 pieces of salmon
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 8 tbsp. of maple syrup
  • 8 tbsp. of soy sauce
  1. Peel and finely chop up the garlic.
  2. In a bowl, mix the garlic with the soy sauce and maple syrup.
  3. Place salmon on a deep plate or in a pan, side by side.
  4. Pour the marinade over the salmon. Let soak in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove salmon and set on counter.
  6. Preheat grill to 400 F.
  7. Add your cast-iron griddle to the barbecue, grill side up. Let heat up for 10 minutes
  8. Place salmon on the cast iron griddle.
  9. Cook for 15 minutes or until internal temperature of the salmon is 145 F. Baste with any leftover sauce at 5-minute and 10-minute mark.
  10. Remove from heat and serve with rice and your favourite vegetable.
